NGON likes to flex its muscles and produce some highly complex illustration from time to time. But only one special occasions….. and client briefs.
The Last of Us Part II was one of the most eagerly anticipated games for the PS4, also playing a part in the closure of the console, ending an era with a bang. And bang it did, as the highly controversial storyline broke apart fans around the world.

Naughty Dog, LLC
Formerly JAM Software, Inc.) is an American first-party video game developer based in Santa Monica, California. Founded by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin in 1984, the studio was acquired by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2001. Gavin and Rubin produced a sequence of progressively more successful games, including Rings of Power and Way of the Warrior in the early 1990s. The latter game prompted Universal Interactive Studios to sign the duo to a three-title contract and fund the expansion of the company.

To embrace a compelling piece, NGON put together this quick animation to support the stories unfolding. Using water colour mask animations, each character is unveiled, in some cases some have multiple washes to give a feeling of build up. Before ending with the title being crudely brushed on, followed by a dash of symbolism.
