3D Conceptual Design
Tick Tock Unlock didn’t really want to give much direction as the loved the worked NGON produces, so they were keen to see what ideas could spawn from just a few simple pieces of reference.
Keys played a main part, as they were a prime asset for the game. So with that in mind, and references of brands they liked, NGON developed a high end logo that touched on the four main areas the game involved. Then moving forward with an in-depth, intricately designed key visual that would notion the storytelling aspect of the game itself.

3D Conceptual Design
One of the only stipulations for the key visual, was for it to be bright, as in comparison, most other ventures of this type were dark and looming.
The visual encompasses the idea of stories breaking out of their binding books, throwing their adventures into the real world and allowing the players to experience what each area has to offer in terms of creativity and exploration.

Retouching
It’s very rare that 3D designers create complex scenes all under the same roof. Instead, sections will be worked on and then rendered out individually, composing the final image in Photoshop from multiple renders.NGON likes to push the boat out, using sheer power and determination (And a little insanity), creating the entire scene as one piece. This allows for a more natural light flow across each area, casting correct shadows and ambient lighting on all corresponding parts. It also gives a more accurate impression of the final design. With this creative, there was very little retouching to be done, only minor colour grading to make a few things pop and add effects like fireworks and mist. This shows the sheer control NGON produces at render time.
